Home - India - Training Center - Deborah Prayer Team

dbt 1From the beginning, the BCM disciples have founded the ministry upon a straight course, to never veer away from the patterns of their First Love; such as Gospel to the unreached, suffering, faith, heartfelt obedience and, permeating everything, prayer.  The ministry has long determined to maintain intercessory prayer “24 / 7 / 52” .

There is an entire permanent team of sisters, affectionately called the Deborah Team, who keep an assembled cadre praying together at all times.  This is not just to enjoy the wonder of worship in the Presence of God, but to travail in fervency and charitable sorrow, assailing the heavens on behalf of a host of needs, which can only be met through the prayers of faith.

(from an Oregonian visitor:)   “In December of 2009, my wife, Theresa came with me to visit the church in Rameswaram, for the dedication of the Training Center.  One day she wandered into a room she thought was for sewing.  There, she encountered the Deborah Prayer Team in action.  They invited her to join them for a while, and showed her their sizeable book of specific prayer requests and answers.  Therein, she found a tattered photo of Jerry, an old friend of ours from Colorado, who had been brought low by lymphoma, but had recently improved through an unexplainable remission.  We had mentioned Jerry long before to Billy, when he visited our home once, but knew nothing of their enduring intercession on his behalf.  Theresa wept openly for a long time over that, and received a great gift from the prayer team, of a real window into souls who truly live out the belief that fervent prayers of the righteous avail much.”
