When a man's ways please the LORD, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, known as the RSS, is the largest terrorist network in the world, boasting five million radical members. Active since 1925, it escapes international notice, because it works only in India, fighting on the local level to persecute and oppose any non-Hindu religions, often using violence and arson to stop the spread of the Gospel. For over thirty years the RSS has been trying to stop BCM and the Paulose family. Twice they burned down the previous BCM Training Centers, and they have been burning down numerous village churches and pastors’ homes throughout for many years. Countless disciples have been beaten, injured and even killed by their radicals. They were also behind various campaigns to destroy the Paulose family. For several years there was a standing RSS offer of one year’s wages for any Hindu in Rameswaram who would kill Paulose and Sarojam, and there were several attempts. In 2004 there was a secret plot among about forty of the RSS radicals that they would fast until one of them could assassinate Billy. A boy who heard about the plot knew the Paulose family, and told them of the plan. Billy was then able to be kept safe, and guarded in travel, until other RSS violence got the police involved, and the would-be killers were banished from the island. (The similarity between that RSS plot and Acts 23:12-24 was truly remarkable.)

This February, the two main RSS leaders in Rameswaram paid a surprise visit to Billy at Bethel House, the BCM residence in Rameswaram. For decades these two men have overseen about 1,000 RSS zealots in the Ramnad district of Tamil Nadu. They sat down with Billy and confessed in detail all the trouble, violence and mayhem they have mounted for the past thirty years, in their efforts to stop BCM. Billy was not even aware of some of the secret things they were admitting to. The two old radicals explained to Billy that a recent plot had been put before them, to bring trouble to the BCM children’s homes, through the RSS purchasing of an adjacent property. They wanted to tell Billy about the plan, and that their organization has decided to not go along with it.

Billy thanked them, and forgave them through tears. He wanted to know why, after all these years, they had so dramatically changed their thinking. This is what they explained:

“First, all of our strong efforts for many years to destroy your religious efforts have all failed. Also, the work you are doing for many hundreds of these poor children in our island can only be good. We now perceive by these things that the God you serve is true and good. We no longer want to fight against what you are doing.”

The Paulose family would not have dared to believe a decade ago that this turn of events could actually come to pass.
