Trip to South India
Pastor Reuben Esh
Beacon of Truth Ministries in Richmond, KS
I am grateful for the opportunity given to us by Unreached Villages and BCM. This has been a life changing experience for both the team from the US and also for many of the Indian people we encountered.
The two day pastor’s conference was a highlight as we saw an outpouring of God’s grace upon many persecuted and discouraged village pastors. Some of the pastors told us they were on the verge of quitting the ministry and during the conference they received the grace to continue.
Another highlight was seeing an entire tribal village accept Jesus and beg us to return to tell them more about our God.

I think the most encouraging thing about being in India has been to be with believers who have been persecuted and beaten for their faith and are thriving despite the opposition. To hear their stories and to see first hand how they have been victorious was a challenge to my faith! It also was a tremendous blessing to wash the Pastor’s feet during the final service of the conference. It was a very powerful time.

First of all I want to thank Apostle Reuben Esh from Beacon of Truth Ministries and Brother Billy Graham Paulose from Body of Christ Ministries for all they did in making this trip a reality! We had a wonderful time!
The village where we showed the Jesus Film [Chellai Ai Colonay] was the highlight of the whole trip. The whole village seemed to receive us and the Gospel message we brought with open arms and hearts. It was an awesome experience. We also gave them some blankets and Croc shoes. What was really the crowning event of the evening was the Village Chief getting up and thanking us for the blankets and shoes but most of all for coming and telling them about Jesus. Hallelujah!! We had several other very special village outreach times where we really seemed to connect in a positive way with the people.
In one village Pastor Jake and I tried our hand at the mortar and pestle tool they use for rice mashing. That seemed to break the ice. After doing our Drama and sharing the Gospel with them several of the ladies brought their small children and babies up to me and wanted me to pray for them. Some of the others also got to pray for some of the people. A beautiful time.
At another village we carried the sound system into the village a ways to set up. I got to share there. There were lots of children and I likened learning in the natural to learning about overall life through Jesus. Water to a rice plant compared to Jesus in my life was another mental picture I tried to paint. We went to do some village outreach with Pastor Israel and visited a small school of about 30 children ranging in age from about 5 to 11. We shared quite a bit about what life is like in America and then were also able to get the message of Jesus to them as well. It seemed we really connected well with them.
Going to see the temple area in Rameswaram was a real life changing event also. Another temple visit that turned somewhat positive was when the temple priest’s son walked with us and befriended us. Pastor Israel ended up trading names and phone numbers with him since he’s studying over in the Rameswaram area.
The well drilling event and dedication and the Pastor’s Conference were definite highlights as well as the many people we got to know and appreciate. The extended Paulose family especially and also Pastor Ravi and his family, Pastor Jacob and his family, Pastor Durai Peter from Chidambaram, Pastor Abraham and family in Chennai, and of course the cook that fed us so well.
Among some other things that stood out to me was the heart to serve portrayed by such as Pastor Ravi and his family. The heart to reach out and touch the people’s lives in so many ways portrayed by the Paulose family was a real blessing and challenge to see.
Good health, excellent weather, planes on schedule, as well as over-all travelling safety are some of the things that I greatly appreciate and give thanks to the Lord for and I also see the value of those praying for us at home more than I had before.

Thanks to Apostle Reuben for allowing me to go to India! I had a great time over there. It was awesome to see how God is moving in the schools and what BCM is getting done. I'm amazed how different everything is over there compared to the US. It was a real eye opener to see how the people live. I'm very thankful for how blessed we are as a nation here in the US.
Thanks also to Pastors Billy and Israel for taking us from village to village sharing the gospel. I learned so much from these brothers. It was awesome to see the hand of God move upon an entire village and watch them ask Jesus into their lives. This was the high light of the trip for me. May the blessing and grace of God rest upon you all.

The trip to India was truly an eye opening experience for me. I feel like I came back with so much to think about, and so much to share and inspire others back in my home church.
It is wonderful to see what God is doing in the island of Rameswaram. I was so inspired and challenged by the lifestyle of the believers there. Sunday morning worship with the body of Christ was an awesome time. We got to wash feet and take communion with brothers in the Lord. There was one man there who had been beaten for the cause of Christ some years back. He had a big scar/gash in the back of his head and a false leg. He had just come off of a 21 day fast and on fire for the Gospel! These men are pressing forward for the prize of the high calling of God!
We went to visit the Prince of Peace School. I was moved to see 850 children singing God Is So Good at the top of their lungs! It's awesome to see these precious children learning the ways of the Lord and at the same time learning to read and write. God's Grace is reaching the hearts of the children in Rameswaram!
There is so much that God is doing across the world and I'm so thankful for the opportunity I've had to see a part of that in the Island of Rameswaram India!
