latest news and updates of our work around the world
Welcome to the Home Page of Unreached Villages, Inc. We are a non-profit

This booklet is intended to serve as a guidebook or checklist of sorts, to prepare disciples travelling to the rural and urban areas of southern India.
It contains information on the most important cultural, logistic, financial or climatic issues that you are likely to encounter on your journey.
Any reproduction, distribution or other use of all or part of this document is greatly encouraged.
This work may be freely shared in printed or electronic form, distributed, referenced and cited.
"God called Pastor Moses Paulose into the ministry in 1966 when he was nineteen years old. He has faithfully served the Lord for more than
forty years. He began as an itinerant evangelist until God called him through a vision to move to Rameswaram, South India and plant a work.
"Through the preaching of the gospel with miracles, signs and wonders following, the ministry has grown from one church in Rameswaram to hundreds in India and Asia.
Pastor Paulose has impacted lives around the world by his godly character and powerful ministry. May the reading of his testimony enrich and bless
you as well as challenge you to live wholeheartedly for God."
Grand Opening of the Training Center!
After nearly ten years of hard work, with the prayers and support of the Church, the Training Center is in the final stages of completion! The
Dedication ceremony is scheduled for December 16th, thirty years after the Paulose family first arrived with the Gospel in Rameswaram. Billy recently was speaking with a
local Hindu leader in Rameswaram, who was lamenting the day, almost fifteen
years ago. that they burned the original training center structures down. "If only we had not burned
your church down, you would not have this huge facility," the man said.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, and it is thrilling to look back on the struggles and trials of these
past ten years and see how all things have worked together for the good
of the Body of Christ!
In 1996 a family in Alabama was led by God to purchase ten acres of land
adjacent to the Training Center campus, dedicated to the eventual construction
and equipping of a fully operational hospital. Current medical facilities
in that remote region are woefully inadequate. Millions of tribal people
in South India have never had any medical care in their lives. There are
over a million people in the regions surrounding Rameswaram who have no adequate
medical care available to them. The hospital we hope to construct and
operate will bring immeasurable relief to a huge, isolated population.
Late night last mid December, a man was pedaling his bike past the BCM Training Center and ministry land. As he crossed the railroad tracks near the main gate, an odd noise by the side of the road caught his ear.
His flashlight illuminated a tiny baby girl, left on a small cloth on the ground, crying pitifully. She was naked and weighed only a few pounds. She was unharmed by the passing dogs and livestock common in that
place, indicating that she had probably only been abandoned there for a short time before he found her. He carried her to the guard at the gate who called Pastor Paulose and Sister Sarojam. They came at once and contacted
the police authorities, who declared they were certain that the BCM infant rescue center would do a fine job of caring for the abandoned girl. As a name is required for legal registry of a birth, a young couple in the
US promptly volunteered to name her and sponsor her support. She is now Maria Ruth Michael.About 200 miles inland in the tiny village of Usilampatti, another girl was born this last Christmas Eve. Her parents were expecting a son to help work in the fields. When they found that they had been given a girl instead,
they decided to kill her, as many do in that region. Pastor Ravi and his wife Komaloom have lived in a nearby village for over twelve years, planting churches in the area. They have already rescued several baby girls from death
in recent years. Upon hearing of the couple's intentions, Ravi rushed to their village. He was just in time to intervene, making a formal pact with the parents to allow BCM to take their daughter and raise her as a Christian.
A few days later she arrived safely at the BCM Infant Rescue Center, where loving arms are now caring for her. She awaits a name and a sponsor, but will someday become aware of her Saviour
as well as His servants who saved her life.
We now have about 650 children enrolled in the King of Kings and Prince of Peace
schools. Most of these children are from Hindu, Muslim or nominal
families. Despite their religions, they enroll their children in the BCM
schools, knowing that we will disciple them in the Gospel of Jesus. One
important reason for this is that we endeavor to teach them American English
through the volunteers that come from the US to help. We are in continual
need of American disciples willing to give up a few months of their lives to
obtain simple online TEFL training and teach English to the students at the ten
grade levels. This volunteer work is not for the faint of heart or the
self-absorbed. If you are interested, please contact
us.
